Who should take this course?
The American Heart Association’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

What does this course teach?
• High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
• BLS concepts from the Chain of Survival
• Delivering effective breaths or ventilations
• Importance of early use of and how to use an AED
• Performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
• Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children, and infants

Initial certification and recertification of healthcare providers
Upon successful completion of the course, students receive an AHA BLS Provider course completion card, valid for two years.

Cost: $80 for the course, plus $19 for the optional manual. Payment by cash, check, credit card, or 312 Requisition is accepted. Medical students at the University of Rochester have the course fee waived, but are responsible for the cost of the manual.

Note: If you're over 15 minutes late to the course, both entry and refunds will be denied. You will need to register and pay for a new course.

Meet the speaker:

Rob Lynch ’99, ’00S (MBA) has served as Shake Shack’s chief executive officer and on the board of directors since May 2024. Prior to joining Shake Shack, Lynch served as president and chief executive officer of Papa John’s International, Inc., where he drove record global system-wide sales of over $5 billion across approximately 5,900 units. Previously, Lynch was president of Arby’s where he led operations, marketing, culinary, development and digital transformation, resulting in strong global system-wide sales growth and corporate profitability. He also served as Arby’s brand president and chief marketing officer. Prior to joining Arby’s, Lynch served as vice president of marketing at Taco Bell. He has over 25 years of combined experience in the QSR and consumer packaged goods industries and has also held senior roles at HJ Heinz Company and Procter & Gamble. He is a graduate of the University of Rochester, where he obtained his bachelor’s and MBA.

Ellen Wright Clayton is a preeminent scholar of the ethical, legal, and social implications of advances in genomics, focusing on the sociocultural and technical environments in which these developments are occurring. A graduate of Yale Law School and Harvard Medical School, she is the Craig-Weaver Professor of Pediatrics as well as Professors of Law, Health Policy, and Biomedical Informatics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Vanderbilt University. She has received numerous NIH grants, including the transdisciplinary Center for Excellence in Genomics Research on Genetic Privacy and Identity in Community Settings. A member of the National Academies for 20 years, she has served in numerous capacities – as a member of its executive committee, as chair of several committees, and as co-chair of the Academies Report Review Committee. She has also been a member of Tennessee’s Newborn Screening Committee for more than 30 years.

Who should take this course?
The American Heart Association’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

What does this course teach?
• High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
• BLS concepts from the Chain of Survival
• Delivering effective breaths or ventilations
• Importance of early use of and how to use an AED
• Performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
• Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children, and infants

Initial certification and recertification of healthcare providers
Upon successful completion of the course, students receive an AHA BLS Provider course completion card, valid for two years.

Cost: $80 for the course, plus $19 for the optional manual. Payment by cash, check, credit card, or 312 Requisition is accepted. Medical students at the University of Rochester have the course fee waived, but are responsible for the cost of the manual.

Abstract: The conversion of carbon dioxide to fuels is a promising approach to sustainable energy storage. Selective and efficient reduction of CO2 to fuels (or fuel precursors) relies on advanced catalysts. Guided by the detailed mechanistic insights available from studies of molecular catalysts, we are developing broad strategies and structural design principles for CO2 reduction reactions. Selective CO generation is accomplished with ruthenium and iron complexes that pair a redox-active supporting ligand with a strongly donating ligand featuring an N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC). A key role of the trans effect in electrocatalytic CO2 reduction is revealed through these catalysts. Looking beyond CO to fuels that are energy-dense liquids or contain carbon–carbon bonds, cascade catalysis strategies combining electrochemical and thermal organometallic catalysts will be presented.

Postpartum depression is usually understood today as a medical condition rooted in hormones or brain chemistry. But how did it come to be defined this way? Drawing on my book, Blue: A History of Postpartum Depression in America, I trace the emergence of postpartum depression as a diagnostic and cultural concept from the mid-twentieth century to the present. I argue that our contemporary understanding of postpartum depression is the product of decades of negotiation among feminist activists, psychiatric researchers, and advocates working within ever-changing political landscapes. Through a deep dive into the pivotal decades of the 1970s and 1980s, I discuss how postpartum distress was reframed first from the “baby blues” to a feminist critique of motherhood, and then later to a medicalized and increasingly apolitical diagnosis. This history helps explain why postpartum depression today is widely recognized but unevenly treated and why the condition has managed to remain apart from some of the intense political conflict that surrounds other aspects of women’s health.

Rachel Louise Moran is a Professor of History at Texas A&M University, where she teaches courses on modern US history, women’s history, and the history of medicine. Her research focuses on how political cultures and institutions have shaped Americans’ relationships with health and wellness in areas including nutrition and fitness, psychiatry, and reproductive and sexual health. She is the author of Governing Bodies: American Politics and the Shaping of the Modern Physique (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2018) and Blue: A History of Postpartum Depression in America (University of Chicago Press, 2024). As part of writing Blue, she also conducted oral histories that are now archived as the Maternal Mental Health collection with the University of North Texas’ Oral History Program. Her current book project explores the development of the Kegel pelvic floor exercise and the overlaps between women’s health, sexual dysfunction, and wellness culture since the 1940s. Dr. Moran has published research articles in the Journal of American History, Gender & History, Social History of Medicine, Journal of the History of the Behavioral Sciences, and the Journal of the History of Sexuality. Her projects have been supported by the National Science Foundation, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the Woodrow Wilson Foundation, among others.

Abstract: Efforts in the Lipshultz Group are largely geared towards developing versatile platforms for synthetic transformations, leveraging radical reaction pathways driven by light. Among these platforms are (i) titanium ligand-to-metal charge-transfer (LMCT) photocatalysis, (ii) Vit B6-inspired Photo-Decarboxylase catalysis, and (iii) Vit B6-dependent aminomutase-inspired amino acid homologation. Each of these reaction classes leverages unique photochemical and/or radical key steps which provide opportunity for manipulation and control through fundamental understanding. First, electronic tuning of photoactive titanium catalysts allows for rational manipulation of photochemistry, manifesting in controlled photocatalysis for C–C and C–H bond functionalization.

Tuning of the redox properties can further enable reversible C–C bond activation for formal alcohol metathesis. Second, taking inspiration from Dunathan's stereoelectronic hypothesis for Vit B6-dependent enzymatic reactivity, Photo-Decarboxylase catalysis is realized through catalyst-templated hyperconjugative charge-transfer, delivering access to decarboxylated diradical species which engage in regiospecific bond construction. Finally, α-to-β amino acid homologative transmutation can be achieved through a highly polarized biomimetic 3-exo-trig radical cascade. Fundamental mechanistic studies, combined with density functional theory calculations, deliver deeper understanding of these key steps and provide prospects for further development.

Who should take this course?
The American Heart Association’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

What does this course teach?
• High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
• BLS concepts from the Chain of Survival
• Delivering effective breaths or ventilations
• Importance of early use of and how to use an AED
• Performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
• Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children, and infants

Initial certification and recertification of healthcare providers
Upon successful completion of the course, students receive an AHA BLS Provider course completion card, valid for two years.

Cost: $80 for the course, plus $19 for the optional manual. Payment by cash, check, credit card, or 312 Requisition is accepted. Medical students at the University of Rochester have the course fee waived, but are responsible for the cost of the manual.

Note: If you're over 15 minutes late to the course, both entry and refunds will be denied. You will need to register and pay for a new course.

Collaborating on the title piece, are choreographer Anne Wilcox and writer/composer Adam Wilcox, along with beautiful professional dancers Rose Pasquarello Beauchamp, Michelle Iklé, Kaidence Pacheco, Doreen Prempeh, and Elyssia Primus. Historians Robert Riley, Dr. Laurence Guttmacher and Dr. Ryan Thibodeau will share a brief history of the dedication site and of Rochester’s role in mental health care. Nanako Horikawa Mandrino will perform her elegant movement solo, The Flower of Remembering, drawing from the rich symbolism of the red poppy which Japanese culture associates with life’s transience. Analog, a sound based practice by multi-instrumentalist, adaptive teaching artist, and performer, Sean Mulligan, will provide improvisational accompaniment and sound bath ambience. Joining Sean is the gifted musician and sound artist Greg Woodsbie, who is known for his genre-bending performances, blending jazz, classical, and Cuban influences across piano, accordion, and percussion. A brass quintet of Eastman School of Music students, led by French hornist, Kasey Gibbons, will also contribute to the musical offerings. Invisible No More concludes with a public movement choir allowing all participants to join in the final portion of the dedication.

In 2022 Wilcox directed the wildly successful dance/theater production When the Souls Rise (WTSR) in Mount Hope Cemetery with a cast of 17 and composer/performer Ward Hartenstein, as the Specter of Euphony. Over one thousand viewers attended the performances of WTSR. Her love of Mount Hope is evident in Invisible No More, as well. Wilcox hopes this event will speak to the dignity of all human beings and the importance remembering our past. This project is funded by a Humanities Grant from the University of Rochester, and support from the Friends of Mount Hope and the ESL Rochester Fringe.

Who should take this course?
The American Heart Association’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

What does this course teach?
• High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
• BLS concepts from the Chain of Survival
• Delivering effective breaths or ventilations
• Importance of early use of and how to use an AED
• Performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
• Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children, and infants

Initial certification and recertification of healthcare providers
Upon successful completion of the course, students receive an AHA BLS Provider course completion card, valid for two years.

Cost: $80 for the course, plus $19 for the optional manual. Payment by cash, check, credit card, or 312 Requisition is accepted. Medical students at the University of Rochester have the course fee waived, but are responsible for the cost of the manual.

Abstract: Terahertz (THz) vibrational spectroscopy, occurring at frequencies of 0.1 – 10 THz or 3 – 330 cm-1, provides direct access to low-frequency phonons that govern collective molecular motions in crystalline materials. Unlike traditional mid-IR methods (i.e, FTIR) that most often probe intramolecular motions, terahertz lattice dynamics encode information about intermolecular forces that can provide insight into various properties ranging from crystal packing, mechanical response, and structural changes. These vibrations are highly-excited at ambient conditions, and therefore they are responsible for a host of dynamic properties such as thermal expansion and solid-state reactivity.

By combining experimental terahertz time-domain and low-frequency Raman spectroscopy with solid-state density functional theory, it is possible to not only assign complex terahertz spectra with confidence, but also to connect individual phonon modes to specific stimuli-responsive phenomena. This work highlights how these capabilities can be used to understand, and ultimately control, the behavior of molecular solids. collective phonons not only report on reactivity but may actively influence reaction pathways, providing new opportunities to predict, understand, and eventually manipulate chemistry in the solid state.

Wessels is a poet and critic. He is the author of Who Follow the Gleam (University of Massachusetts Press), winner of the 2025 Juniper Prize in Poetry. His poetry has appeared in The Kenyon Review, The Yale Review, and Conjunctions, among other such journals; his scholarship and criticism has appeared in Literary Imagination, Middle Eastern Literatures, and Los Angeles Review of Books. He has received fellowships from the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference and the Stadler Center for Poetry. He is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Poetry at the University of Rochester, from which he received his PhD in English. He splits his time between Rochester and the Black Forest, Germany.

About the speaker:

Ross Perlin, Lecturer, Department of Slavic Languages, Columbia University, is co-director of the Endangered Language Alliance (ELA), a non-profit research institute focused on documenting and supporting endangered languages in New York City and beyond. At ELA since 2013, he directed the creation of the Languages of New York City map (www.languagemap.nyc) and has managed a variety of projects focused on language documentation, language policy, and public programming around urban linguistic diversity. Himalayan languages are a research focus — for his PhD in Linguistics at the University of Bern, Ross created a trilingual dictionary, a corpus of recordings, and a descriptive grammar of Trung, an endangered language of southwest China, based on several years of fieldwork. Ross has a BA from Stanford, an M.Phil. from Cambridge, and an MA from the University of London (SOAS). Ross is also a writer and translator, whose work has appeared in the New York Times, The Guardian, Harper's, The Atlantic, and elsewhere. His most recent book is Language City: The Fight to Preserve Endangered Mother Tongues in New York, published in 2024 by Grove.

Biography:

Claire Becker is an ABD History PhD candidate at the University of Rochester. Their dissertation explores the varied ways religious women used sacred objects (e.g. relics, sculptures, paintings, rosary beads, food items) to develop and disseminate knowledge about the divine, the body, emotion, and care throughout the early modern Spanish world. Their research has been published in the Journal of Gender & History, and they have contributed book reviews to the Sixteenth Century Journal and Renaissance Quarterly. They have taught classes ranging from freshman writing to western civilization both on the University of Rochester campus and in Attica Correctional facility. In addition to researching, writing, teaching, and organizing conferences (including the upcoming Vagantes Conference on Medieval Studies), Claire serves as the Writing and Speaking coordinator for the University of Rochester’s Writing, Speaking, and Argument Program and as a graduate library assistant for the Rossell Hope Robbins Library.

In 1901, Lizzie Black Kander put together a cookbook based on the classes she taught at the Milwaukee Jewish Mission. “I was trying to teach a group of young foreign girls in a crowded neighborhood how to cook simple and nutritious food, yet have it attractive and inexpensive as we prepare it in America,” she recalled. The Settlement Cook Book would go on to be the most successful charitable cookbook in American history, remaining a best-seller into the 1970s. Despite including nonkosher recipes, it became a mainstay in Jewish kitchens and an enduring touchstone of Jewish American culture.

Recipes for the Melting Pot tells the remarkable story of The Settlement Cook Book, demonstrating how it shaped Jewish American identity—and was in turn shaped by generations of Jewish women. Nora L. Rubel traces the cookbook’s evolution across forty editions over several decades, through waves of immigration, shifting gender roles, upward mobility, suburbanization, and rapid changes in Jewish life. She argues that the book celebrates pluralism, allowing it to serve at once as a tool for Americanization, a repository of tradition, and a platform for culinary innovation. Ultimately, The Settlement Cook Book is a record of American Jewish women’s history, told through the food they made and the lives they led. A cultural biography of an iconic cookbook, this lively and inviting book shares an inclusive vision of American cuisine.

About the Author

Nora L. Rubel is the Elizabeth Denio Professor at the University of Rochester in the Department of Religion & Classics. She is the author of Doubting the Devout: The Ultra-Orthodox in the Jewish American Imagination (Columbia, 2009), as well as coeditor of Religion, Food, and Eating in North America (Columbia, 2014) and Blessings Beyond the Binary: "Transparent" and the Queer Jewish Family (2024).

Guest Speaker: Christi A. Patten, PhD, Director, Rural Health Research Core, Mayo Clinic Center for Clinical and Translational Science

Patten is a licensed clinical psychologist, professor of Psychology, and director of the Behavioral Health Research Program within the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She also serves as director of the Rural Health Research Core within the Mayo Clinic Center for Clinical and Translational Science. Her research uses community-based participatory approaches to create culturally aligned smoking cessation and other health promotion interventions for Indigenous and rural communities. Through community engagement, her team has developed innovative strategies to support digital health engagement among rural populations.

In the years leading up to 1830, French dramatists increasingly contested the conventions that had governed serious theater since the seventeenth century. Critics such as Stendhal called for subjects drawn from modern life, and a number of playwrights experimented with freer dramatic forms, new protagonists and different kinds of conflicts. Although Victor Hugo's Hernani would become the movement's most iconic stage production, Georges Ozaneaux's Le Nègre broadened the scope of the Romantic challenge by placing chattel slavery and the slave trade at the center of a serious drama. Staged at the Comédie-Française, France's premier repertory theater, the play drew on many of the features associated with Romantic drama—freer verse, expanded settings, and marginalized protagonists—but used them to explore the consequences of human bondage rather than the types of personal conflict that more often occupied the Romantic stage.

Presented by Allison Orechwa, PhD, MBA, executive director, Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Institute, University of Southern California. This Translational Science Grand Rounds event is sponsored and organized by UR CTSI.

Dr. Orechwa is executive director of the Southern California CTSI as well as managing director of the Southern California Healthcare Delivery Science Center. She has spearheaded the CTSI QbD program since its inception to improve research efficiency and, ultimately, patient health. Other Translational Science projects have ranged from university-wide process improvement for study activation to the influence of television storylines on public perception of research.

Dr. Egede, the Charles and Mary Bauer Endowed Chair of Medicine at University at Buffalo, is a nationally-recognized expert on health disparities.

Submit your abstract: Community-based organizations, community groups, researchers, trainees, staff and students are invited to submit abstracts about organized community programs, initiatives or research designed to mitigate health inequities in Wester NY.

Submissions are due by 11:59 PM Friday, August 28.

The symposium will serve as a dynamic forum for sharing innovative research, highlighting community-driven initiatives, and fostering cross-sector collaboration aimed at improving health outcomes for underserved populations across the Western New York region. With a focus on actionable strategies, the event will explore topics such as social determinants of health, community-engaged research, health policy, and equitable access to care, and feature a keynote presentation, panel discussions, and abstract-driven sessions showcasing cutting-edge work in health equity. In addition to research presentations, the event will include networking opportunities, student engagement activities, poster awards, and recognition of outstanding contributions through awards focused on health equity impact, community engagement, and innovation.

Who should take this course?
The American Heart Association’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

What does this course teach?
• High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
• BLS concepts from the Chain of Survival
• Delivering effective breaths or ventilations
• Importance of early use of and how to use an AED
• Performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
• Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children, and infants

Initial certification and recertification of healthcare providers
Upon successful completion of the course, students receive an AHA BLS Provider course completion card, valid for two years.

Cost: $80 for the course, plus $19 for the optional manual. Payment by cash, check, credit card, or 312 Requisition is accepted. Medical students at the University of Rochester have the course fee waived, but are responsible for the cost of the manual.

Note: If you're over 15 minutes late to the course, both entry and refunds will be denied. You will need to register and pay for a new course.

Research Overview:

I am a medical and psychological anthropologist broadly interested in ethics/morality and cultural practices of self-cultivation. Using narrative and linguistic anthropological approaches, my work attends closely to the subjective and intersubjective dimensions of experience.

My most recent project explores how Maldivians experiencing madness and/or mental illness, and their kin, construct themselves as ethical ‘modern’ persons in a contemporary moment shaped by a multiplicity of modernization discourses. Taking a critical phenomenological approach to the study of personhood, this work examines (1) the intersections of public discourses—such as reformist Sunni-Islam, Global Mental Health, and liberal feminism—and the novel ways of conceptualizing subjective processes, such as emotion, illness, recovery, and sense of moral self; and (2) the (mental) health (in)equities produced by international and national structural forces, especially as they pertain to the gendered and classed experiences of those living with madness and/or mental illness.

John Ellis, saxophone

John Ellis is one of New York’s premiere tenor saxophone voices. With more than 150 album credits as a sideman, John has recorded with a wide variety of artists such as Charlie Hunter, Robert Glasper, Darcy James Argue, Helen Sung, Kendrick Scott Oracle, Dr. Lonnie Smith, and Sting. John was the 2nd place winner of the prestigious Thelonious Monk Saxophone Competition in 2002, he was the recipient of three composition grants through The Jazz Gallery for the creation of new work (“Dreamscapes”, “The Ice Siren”, and “MOBRO”) and he was selected as the 2014 Make Jazz Fellow by the 18th Street Arts Center in Santa Monica. John has released fourteen albums as a leader, three of those featuring his New Orleans-centered band Double-Wide, which has toured extensively and was featured on the Main Stage of the 2012 Newport Jazz Festival. He co-produced the music for the children’s book series “Baby Loves Jazz” with Aaron Goldberg, and he wrote the theme music for the NPR podcast, “Rough Translation.” His latest album, “Bizet: Carmen in Jazz”, was released on Blue Room Music in December of 2023 and features Reuben Rogers, Gary Versace, and Jason Marsalis.

This ad hoc ensemble presents a variety of repertoire once per semester by composers and band leaders such as the Gerry Mulligan Concert Jazz Band, Miles Davis Birth of the Cool, Marty Paich/Art Pepper + Eleven, Boyd Reaburn/George Handy, Gil Evans etc. The ensemble is led by various faculty members and is by assignment.

Acampora is the author of The Animal Room, released in June 2026, and three other books of fiction: The Wonder Garden, The Paper Wasp, and The Hundred Waters, all published by Grove Atlantic. Her work has won or been nominated for the GLCA New Writers Award, the Center for Fiction’s First Novel Prize, the Story Prize, and the New England Book Award, and she’s been named an Artist Fellow in Fiction by The New York Foundation for the Arts. Lauren’s writing has also appeared in many publications such as The Paris Review, One Story, and The New York Times and was anthologized in The Best American Short Stories 2025. She lives with her family in Westchester County, New York.

The Plutzik Series is one of the most prestigious and longest-running reading series in the country. Over the years, the Plutzik Series has featured a vast array of poets and fiction writers, the famous and not-yet famous. In keeping with Hyam Plutzik's generosity of spirit and commitment to bringing poetry to the community, the Plutzik Series readings have always been open to the public and offered free of charge.

Pablo F. Gómez is Professor of Medical History and History in the Department of Medical History and Bioethics, and the Department of History at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Gómez is interested in histories of health, the human body, material practices, and knowledge-making about the natural world in the early modern world, with a particular focus on the histories of Latin America, the Caribbean, and the African diaspora. Gómez's new book, Bloody Numbers: The Early Atlantic Slave and the Invention of the Modern Corporeality, is forthcoming with the University of Chicago Press (June 2026). The book examines how, through their material practices, Iberian Atlantic slave trading communities made human corporeality articulable with a new set of ideas about finance, facts, objectivity, and measurable risk that emerged in the early modern era. He’s the author of multiple articles, chapters, and two other books. His first monograph, The Experiential Caribbean, won the 2019 Welch Medal and the 2018 Albert J. Raboteau Book Prize. He also coedited The Gray Zones of Medicine, a volume that explores the history of health practices in Latin America from the 16th to the 21st century through the biographies of unlicensed healers. The recipient of grants from a variety of US and international institutions, he is currently working on an NEH-sponsored project that explores the imagination of new histories of disease, value, bodies, labor, and subjectivity in the Caribbean, as well as the history of materiality in the framing of medical histories in Iberian Atlantic and Mediterranean spaces.

Who should take this course?
The American Heart Association’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

What does this course teach?
• High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
• BLS concepts from the Chain of Survival
• Delivering effective breaths or ventilations
• Importance of early use of and how to use an AED
• Performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
• Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children, and infants

Initial certification and recertification of healthcare providers
Upon successful completion of the course, students receive an AHA BLS Provider course completion card, valid for two years.

Cost: $80 for the course, plus $19 for the optional manual. Payment by cash, check, credit card, or 312 Requisition is accepted. Medical students at the University of Rochester have the course fee waived, but are responsible for the cost of the manual.

Note: If you're over 15 minutes late to the course, both entry and refunds will be denied. You will need to register and pay for a new course.

Friends of Strong’s first painting party of 2026 is on Thursday, May 7, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at The Distillery Restaurant on Winton Road.

This "Mommy and Me" event is the perfect opportunity to unleash your inner artist with your loved one(s). Nora will guide you step by step to complete Bear and Cub(s). Includes two 12X16 pre-traced canvas- one canvas to paint big bear and one canvas to paint cub. Additional canvas to paint cub is available at checkout. Feel free to change up colors/ design and create something truly unique. All materials will be provided. Open to all skill levels. Recommended for children 8 and up.

Come early to purchase drinks/food and pick your seat. New this year, 10% of your food purchase will also be donated back to FOS. Painting will begin promptly at 5:30 pm.
