Join the Department of Psychiatry, in partnership with the Departments of Medicine, Neurology, and Surgery, the School of Nursing, and the URMC Office of Equity and Inclusion, for “A Talk on Brave Space: Racial Affinity Group Healing” with speaker Ruth King, founder of Mindful of Race Institute, LLC, and author, educator, and meditation teacher.

The presentation will take place from 12PM to 1 PM with a Q&A session taking place from 1 PM to 1:30 PM.

The Annual Summer Brown Bag Series is an educational series focused on all facets of inequity. This year, the focus is "Healing the Healer", in which we will explore the impact of racism, violence, and erosion of rights on our faculty and staff. The sessions will offer both presentations and healing practices. Participants may attend virtually or in person at the School of Nursing.
