15th Annual Black Tie Affair: Motown

SOLD OUT. The purpose of the Black Tie Affair is to celebrate the contributions made by people of color to the University and Greater Rochester Community. This year's theme is Motown, where we will be highlighting great artists who came from the Motown era.

Each year we give several awards such as the Fannie Lou Hamer Motivation Award, the Humanitarian Award, the W.E.B. Dubois Award for Educational Excellence, the Lifetime Membership Award, the BSU’s Outstanding Alumnus Award, to name a few. We also have a keynote speaker to empower students into being productive members of society and on our campus. This night is to honor those whom we feel are not celebrated enough and should be recognized.
