About this Event
The 2020 Census is happening now, and it is vital that each and every person is counted. (Even if you're a student who's a citizen of a foreign country!)
In this session you will learn about the reasons why you should participate in 2020 Census. Plus, given the complications brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, it is important to know where you should be counted.
On-campus students: Even if you are temporarily living elsewhere, if you normally live at the school, you will be counted by the University of Rochester. You don’t need to do anything else. Your parents should not count you.
Off-campus and graduate housing students: You can respond by mail, phone, or online. Even if you are temporarily living somewhere else, you should use your normal address where you live while you are at school (if you normally live with your parents, they should count you). And you should include everyone that normally lives at the address. If you’re not sure of the information (you can reach out to your roommates), or if you don’t know if they have already responded, respond anyway. There are tools to remove duplicate responses.
We're ready for any questions you have! We have staff from the U.S. Census Bureau on our side!
