Deborah German, MD (Res ’79) Vice President for Health Affairs and Founding Dean of the College of Medicine University of Central Florida College of Medicine.Dr. German was appointed Founding Dean of the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in December 2006. She also serves as UCF’s Vice President for Health Affairs. As such, she oversees both the Medical Education (M.D.) program and the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences.
Dr. German, an innovative leader in academic medicine, will provide the audience with “lessons learned” from her journey in academic medicine and her experiences founding and leading a new medical school. She will describe her views of the future of academic medicine and what skills and experiences leaders in academic medicine will need in the next decades.
