Tana Grady-Weliky MD Lecture: Deborah German

The Office for Inclusion and Culture presents the 2020 Tana Grady-Weliky, MD Lecture on Women and Diversity in Medicine (part of the 2019-2020 Diversity Seminar Series). Featuring speaker: Deborah German, MD,  Vice President for Health Affairs and Founding Dean of the College of Medicine University of Central Florida College of Medicine Leadership and the Future of Academic Medicine: What Will it Take?

Deborah German, MD (Res ’79) Vice President for Health Affairs and Founding Dean of the College of Medicine University of Central Florida College of Medicine.Dr. German was appointed Founding Dean of the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in December 2006. She also serves as UCF’s Vice President for Health Affairs. As such, she oversees both the Medical Education (M.D.) program and the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences.

Dr. German, an innovative leader in academic medicine, will provide the audience with “lessons learned” from her journey in academic medicine and her experiences founding and leading a new medical school. She will describe her views of the future of academic medicine and what skills and experiences leaders in academic medicine will need in the next decades.

Accreditation The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. \

Certification  The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry designates this live educational activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.  University of Rochester Medical Center, Center for Experiential Learning is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW-0005.
