Showcase Schedule
8:30-10:30 AM - AR/VR Mini-Conference
We will start the day with the second Annual Western New York Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) Mini-conference 2023. The event will feature speakers from industry and academia. Interested Ph.D. students will have the opportunity to introduce themselves and share their AR/VR related work in a one-minute lightning pitch.
10:35 AM-12:15 PM - Business/Faculty Networking Pitches
Company representatives and faculty will be able to give a 3-minute pitch on their company products, offerings, and/or academic research in order to promote possible partnerships with others. CEIS and the CoE in Data Science will be interested in fostering such partnerships. In addition to the presenters, the event will be open to all Showcase participants who would like to attend.
12:15-1:15 PM - Lunch
1:30-3:00 PM - Keynote Speaker Panel
We are working on putting together a dynamic panel of government, industry and academic speakers to discuss the current climate for the semiconductor industry in New York State. More information to be posted soon.
3:00 - 5:00 PM - Poster Session
Researchers and students will be able to present their work during the poster session. Attendees are encouraged to vote for their favorite poster and prizes will be awarded to the posters with the most votes. If you would like to present a research poster, please send a summary abstract about your work to ceisweb@ur.rochester.edu. The event is free and open to the public, but there is limited space for poster presentations.
