The first session of the Department of Psychiatry's 2025 Summer Brown Bag Series will feature LaVerne Collins, PhD, a National Certified Counselor and highly respected keynote speaker, workshop presenter, clinical supervisor, professional coach, trainer, motivator, and minister.
Dr. Collins will discuss sociocultural factors that impact mental health treatment planning and outcomes. The session explores trauma-informed case conceptualization, emphasizing how a provider’s personal narrative can influence both client care and clinician well-being.
