Did you know September is FASD Awareness Month? Come show your support at our 2nd Annual Run FASD and Family Picnic. All are welcome!

This event is for everyone! You are welcome to join for any or all of the activities scheduled. Bring your family and friends and come out in support.

How You Can Show Your Support:

There are several ways to support this event. Pick what works for you:

1. Come to our local event at Genesee Valley park. Sign up for free tickets so we know how many people to expect. We will also prepare race bibs for anyone joining for the 5K.

2. Consider purchasing your official Run FASD swag ($5-$35). All proceeds go to support FASD United: Official Run FASD Website

3. You can also join our Roc FASD fundraising team, regardless of whether you can attend the event.

Local Event Details

11 am - Meet at the Hawthorne Shelter at Genesee Valley Park. Welcome tables open. Informal games and activities are available for children and the whole family.

11:35 am - Gather for "5K Your Way" and Welcome

11:45 am - "5K Your Way" begins! Help cheer on our runners, walkers, strollers, and crawlers as they hit the course (kids included!). The majority of the course is on the paved Genesee Valley Park trail path along the river. Feel free to do part or all of the course. We'll provide water tables in a few places. We are not doing individual times, but we'll have an official race clock to check your times.

**All children need to be accompanied by an adult who can keep up with them on the trail. Please let us know if you would like us to have one of our staff or students participate with your child**

12:45 - Family picnic. Bring lunch for your family and join us for a picnic.

Anyone can participate in our free local event whether or not you register for the official Run FASD. People can show support in many different ways. Do what works for you and your family. Your presence at our event is a great way to show your support.

The FASD Diagnostic and Evaluation Clinic is a multidisciplinary clinic created in partnership with Mt. Hope Family Center and Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at Golisano Children’s Hospital within the University of Rochester Medical Center.
