Do you ever wonder what—or whom—to believe in the age of AI?
We used to think about misinformation as fake news and unreliable sources. But now, with AI becoming part of how we create, find, and share information, the information landscape feels more complicated than ever. How do we know what to trust? Where do we turn for reliable information? And how do we navigate a cloud of sources when we’re not always sure what to believe? If you have thoughts about these questions, the next AI Coffee Salon is for you!
The River Campus Libraries are hosting the second session of the AI Coffee Salon series on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the Welles-Brown Room at Rush Rhees Library. This session will focus on what reputable sources look like in the age of AI and how we can navigate misinformation—both from AI and about AI.
We cordially invite all University of Rochester faculty and staff to join us for an AI-related conversation in a laid-back, casual atmosphere. This is a great opportunity to connect with colleagues, share your ideas and experiences, and explore how we can navigate an increasingly complex information landscape together.
Come grab a coffee, join the conversation, and share your thoughts!
