The 4th Annual Paul M. Schyve, MD Center for Bioethics conference will be held on Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the University of Rochester’s School of Nursing. The theme of our 2026 conference is 'AI and Healthcare: Minds, Morals, and Machines'. It will bring together scholars, healthcare professionals, ethicists, and policymakers to explore complex ethical dilemmas and questions related to AI and healthcare. We are excited to announce that our keynote speaker will be S. Matthew Liao, PhD.

We will be accepting submissions (workshop proposals and poster abstracts) for the conference. Workshop proposals and poster abstracts should be emailed to olivia_harrington@urmc.rochester.edu by noon on January 4, 2026. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by January 23, 2026.
