The University of Rochester invites alumni, current players, and friends of University of Rochester Athletics for the next installment of the virtual Alumni Connections series on November 12 from 12-1 p.m. (ET).

Alumni Connections is a series highlighting successful alumni from various athletic backgrounds who share their career journeys.

Join us for a virtual discussion with Karen Durkin ’87, a basketball and swimming alumna with a lifelong love of sports, as she shares her career journey. With over 20 years of experience in business strategy, marketing, communications, sponsorship, and fundraising, she has held leadership roles at renowned organizations like the Ladies Professional Golf Association, the National Hockey League, and the Women’s Sports Foundation. Karen's accomplishments have earned her recognition from publications such as Shape magazine’s “Women Who Shape the World” alongside Michelle Obama and Sports Illustrated’s “Most Influential Women in Golf.” Karen is now founder and president of The Durkin Agency, an award-winning public relations and strategic communications firm.

This event will also offer a Q&A session where you can ask Karen more about her experiences.
