About this Event
417 Alumni Road, Rochester, NY 14611
The Black Students' Union presents its 16th annual Step Show. This year's show Stomping through Dimensions will consist of eight teams from the Rochester community.
The purpose of the annual is to bring attention to the arts not only within the campus community but also the broader Rochester community. The Step Show incorporates performances from step teams around the Rochester area, high school and college. Each team is competing for the title of University of Rochester's Black Students' Union Annual Step Show First Place winners! For the competing high school teams we also like to incorporate an interactive pre-college program where we bring in representatives from Admissions and Financial Aid as well as current undergraduate and graduate students to share their experiences about going here and empower the young people to apply to this university.
Also, each year the Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) has several of the (11 different) organizations perform a stroll. With participation from many community members as well as students and school officials, the event is one of BSU's largest and most successful events.
Participants include:
- Wilson Pearls
- Legacy Step Team

- The Elite Empire
- Edison's Girls Step Team
- Silent Assassins Step Team
