The Program in Archaeology, Technology, and Historical Structures invites students to attend an open house to showcase classes we are offering in preparation for Spring course registration. Our professors will be advertising their Spring 2026 courses offerings, talking about the different aspects of the ATHS program, and highlighting exciting out-of-class research and study abroad opportunities. Come by to meet your professors and fellow ATHS students with a side of pizza and games!

Archaeology, Technology, and Historical Structures (ATHS) is an interdisciplinary program that can be designed to meet the requirements of any one of the three academic divisions (humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences/engineering). It is the perfect major or minor for students interested in any of the following:
Archaeology, anthropology, architecture, or history with a desire for critical insight into the material culture and technology of pre-industrial societies
• Engineering that emphasizes technology, design, materials, structures, and architecture in the context of historical monuments
Learning about new technologies (including Geographic Information Systems, photogrammetry, and XR/extended reality) to record and interpret the archaeological record
• Understanding how archaeology is involved in current and past issues of identity-construction on a local and global level
• Acquiring skills and knowledge of interpretation, conservation, and restoration of historical artifacts, monuments, and infrastructures
