Behind the Scenes: The Life and Legacy of the Honorable Louise Slaughter

The Honorable Louise M. Slaughter tirelessly represented the Rochester region as a member of the House of Representatives for 16 terms. During that time, she made invaluable contributions to the community, to the country, and to the University of Rochester.

Our esteemed panel of academic, public service, and health care experts will recount, reminisce, and underscore the important role that their colleague, mentor, and friend had on society. Learn more about Ms. Slaughter’s official congressional papers where much of this is reflected, and which her family generously donated to the University of Rochester in 2019.
