The Department of Biochemistry & Biophysics will have a Symposium on Translation Regulation celebrating contributions of Prof. Elizabeth Grayhack to the understanding of protein synthesis on November 6th. Invited speakers are Andrei Alexandrov, Clemson University; Dmitri Ermolenko, University of Rochester; Sina Ghaemmaghami, University of Rochester; Jane Jackman, Ohio State University; Lynne Maquat, University of Rochester; Sarah Walker, University of Buffalo, SUNY.

The Keynote speaker is Dr. Elizabeth Grayhack, Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, University of Rochester. Her talk title is "A little help from my friends: deciphering how the genetic code prescribes the hurdles in protein synthesis".
