About this Event
View map Free EventIn his now classic video artwork No, No, New Museum, Bruce Nauman takes the idea of an artist or artwork saying “no” to an extreme. It is a 62-minute endlessly looped recording of a green-costumed jester performing a temper tantrum, incessantly protesting, “no, no, no, no, no…!”
Art museums are places of inquiry, and it is by displaying and arranging works of art that museums engage in such philosophical play and exploration. For more than 50 years Bruce Nauman has been making art in an effort to better understand the role and purpose of art, artists, and museums.
