Bio for Joe Sanchez
Sanchez received his degree in Genetics from the University of Rochester and completed his postdoc and research fellowship with the National Institutes of Health (NIDA/NIH).
He spent over 20 years as a research scientist and student mentor in academic, government, and private-sector settings, ultimately focusing on the implementation of data-driven instructional practices and learning assessment methodologies. In his roles as director, learning and talent development for both AstraZeneca Biologics and Merck Vaccine Operations, he’s led organizations accountable for Compliance Training and Education, Strategic Workforce Planning, Talent Pipeline Development and Organization Effectiveness. Based out of Merck’s West Point, PA site, he also serves as the executive sponsor of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council; the Asia-Pacific Association EBRG, as well as a Skills-First Talent Strategy Champion.
