From Lab to Lunchables: Translating academic skills to build a career as an industry scientist

Bridget Esteves is a senior nutrition scientist at Kraft Heinz, and will present on her career path from a doctoral student, to medical food regulations, to research and development for foods and beverages. She will discuss her experiences in two different industries, how to market scientific experience and skills to non-academic jobs, and lessons learned in communication to non-scientific colleagues. Bridget is a registered dietitian and holds PhD in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Illinois, where she studied interactions between dietary intake and genetic variation on obesity-related metabolic diseases.
