Erika Ramsdale '21 MS, MD  MS, MD; University of Rochester Medical Center Hematology and Oncology,  is a dual-trained and boarded geriatrician and oncologist, and has a clinical practice treating older adults with gastrointestinal malignancies through Highland Hospital. She is not only dedicated to how her patients can live longer, but also how they can continue to live meaningful lives. She is also a National Institute of Health (NIH) funded researcher, with grants from both the National Cancer Institute and the National Institute on Aging to study polypharmacy (taking too many medications) in older adults with cancer, and to design and test interventions to address this. In this role, she leads a couple of research teams and mentor students, medical trainees, and post-docs.

Erika completed her Masters in Data Science from the University of Rochester in May 2021. She has an MD from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and did a residency and fellowship at the University of Chicago Medical Center. In January 2021, Erika was promoted to Associate Professor in the Department of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
