Join us to hear from Danna Freedman about her research at MIT!

Abstract: Chemistry offers a unique approach to developing new quantum tools. Molecules are atomically precise, reproducible, and tunable. This set of attributes has led to molecules unrivaled success in biological sensors, drugs, and plastics. Translating these attributes towards quantum, the ability to position atoms exactly where we want could enable next generation quantum sensors and new frontiers in quantum simulation. Our lab develops molecules for quantum applications. Work on these molecules will be presented. There might be a choose your own adventure game at the end of the talk.

Hosts: Agnes Thorarinsdottir (agnes.thorarinsdottir@rochester.edu) & Katie Knowles (kknowles@ur.rochester.edu)
