Community-Based Participatory Research Day celebrates and fosters partnerships between URMC researchers and community members that produce impactful research. Join UR CTSI for networking opportunities, presentations, and workshops that will equip and inspire you to begin or continue your journey into community-based participatory research (CBPR).

In CBPR, community members and patients benefit from connecting to one another, gain a sense of community and agency, and work together to build equitable engagement with researchers and institutions.

The event will feature breakout sessions and talks facilitated by experts in the field. Our keynote speaker will be Hillary Edwards, PhD, MPH, director of research with the PATIENTS Program in the Department of Practice, Sciences, and Health Outcomes Research at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy.

Members of the Patient-Research Alliance for Inspiring Research Solutions (PAIRS) will also be in attendance for their own specialized programming. The PAIRS event will be co-facilitated by Hillary Edwards, PhD, MPH, and Janice Tufte, patient advisor and Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institutes ambassador.

To reach the Helen Wood Hall Auditorium, enter the Saunders Research Building at 265 Crittenden Blvd in Rochester. Take the connecting hallway to Helen Wood Hall (School of Nursing building) and find the vestibule and auditorium on the left. Signage will be posted.
