Confluences gathers prominent figures in Indigenous Studies to celebrate Janet Catherine Berlo’s distinguished and ongoing accomplishments with a symposium – conversations about indigenous studies, curation, collaboration, and writing.

A digital festschrift/website will go live to coincide with the event. It includes six commissioned essays of original scholarship that reflect upon, engage with, or re-examine a component of Janet’s work. Another part of the website will be a repository of entries from Berlo’s colleagues, associates, friends, and former students; a section dedicated to reflections, anecdotes, memories, or images.
