This ten-week module meets once a week and provides a context for participants to converse in structured and opportunistic manners, improving their spoken English. Past versions of this module have explored topics related to life and culture in the U.S. as well as pragmatic matters such as making arrangements and participating in meetings.
They meet on Tuesdays from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, Wednesdays, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Fridays, 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, Saturdays, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Sundays, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. If you are interested in a chance to talk in a foreign language or to speak your mother language with other people in a very friendly and confortable setting, you can come and join The Language Center.
Conversation Hours in the following languages are also offered: Hebrew on Mondays from 5 pm to 6 pm, Russian on Mondays from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, Japanese on Tuesdays from 7 pm to 8 pm, Arabic on Wednesdays from 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm, French on Wednesdays from 6 pm to 7 pm, Polish every other Wednesday (starting from 09/26) from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm and every Sunday from 4 pm to 5 pm, German on Thursdays from 5 pm to 6 pm, ASL on Thursdays from 7:30 pm to 9 pm, Italian on Fridays from 4:30 pm to 5:15 pm, Portuguese on Saturdays from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, Korean on Saturdays from 4 pm to 5 pm, and Chinese on Sundays from 3 pm to 4 pm.
