This event is a collaboration between iZone and the Center for Urban Entrepreneurship (CUE), which works closely with startup restaurants and food establishments in the Downtown Rochester area. Together, we are bringing Chef Dede of DDEggs & More to campus for a hands-on soul food experience for University of Rochester students. Students will watch a live cooking demonstration, learn about the cultural history and significance of soul food, and share a tasting of fried chicken wing sections, baked mac and cheese, and seasoned collard greens — all while building a real connection with a local Rochester food entrepreneur.
