Cultivating Professional Connections; Maximizing your LinkedIn and Meliora Collective profiles

CNBS in 2019 reported that "research has shown that half or up to 80% of jobs are filled through networking." A great number of positions are never posted online and are filled through the networking process. Leveraging your network and continuing to expand it is an important tool that can help you in landing an internship or job in the future. "Cultivating Professional Connections; Maximizing your LinkedIn and Meliora Collective profiles," will provide graduate students and postdocs the importance of utilizing these professional networking platforms to help reach their academic and professional goals. This event is a collaboration between the Greene Center and myHub.

Session Goals:
* Gain an understanding of the purpose, benefits and functions available to users within each platform
* Identify what content and material to share within each platform
* Learn how to leverage what you share to gain more results in the search process
* Learn how to connect with those outside of your network and how your current network can help you foster new connections
