Westminster Chime will remain silent for the daytime hours. Hopeman Carillon will end the day with a ring of musical meditation at sundown 6:30 to 7 p.m.
Program list:
The day of silence complements our program on Friday, February 29, when the students of the Arthur Satz Music Department’s Carillon Society, tolled the carillon 500 times in remembrance of the more than 500,000 people in the United States who have died from COVID-19. In the evening, the online concert, “UR in Loving Memory,” was dedicated to those who have suffered hardships or loss this past year, available on Youtube at Bells460 for a limited time.
