Lynee Maquat Ph.D. is the J. Lowell Orbison Endowed Chair, Professor of Biochemistry & Biophysics, and Founding Director of the Center for RNA Biology. She’s also the winner of the 2021 Wolf Prize in Medicine and Warren Alpert Foundation Prize. Her talk will focus on RNA decay pathways and their importance in health and disease.

Featuring two outside speakers per year and at least two SMD faculty, the New Dean's Lectureship Series lectures will provide our faculty the chance to hear from both international experts and the best that SMD has to offer on a broad range of timely and interesting topics. The series was endowed by the George D. and Freida B. Abraham Foundation.
