Educational Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation participants should be able to:

Part 1:

1.  Recognize a case of C. difficile infection (CDI).

2.  Understand the epidemiology and diagnostics of CDIs.

Part 2:

1.  Understand the latest guidelines for the management of C. difficile infection.

2.  Understand the appropriate role of novel therapies such as Fidaxomicin and Bezlotoxumab.
