Dr. William & Dr. Kathryn Kern Lecture in Primary Care"The Future of Internal Medicine:  Let's Not Leave Our Patients Behind", presented by Ruth Parker, MD, Professor of Medicine, Pediatrics and Public Health, Senior Fellow in Ethics, Emory University School of Medicine.

Educational Objectives:

At the conclusion of this presentation participants should be able to:

1.  Gain insights of ‘Vital Directions for Health and Health Care’ of our nation—and their relationship to training for Internal Medicine.

2.  Understand points for action to improve health literacy of ourselves and for our patients.
