About this Event
Primary care is now being targeted by non-traditional digital health providers (CVS, Amazon, etc.), and as a result, patients now have new expectations on how they receive health care that align with their experience with other service offerings in their lives. Health system access through digital means is clearly a new imperative, but also an opportunity to improve continuity of care, patient satisfaction and reduce caregiver burnout.
Digital endpoints such as care delivery via telehealth are one piece of the puzzle, but digital also offers the opportunity to catch health consumers during a Google search, match supply and demand within the system, connect patients with health system services that will improve health, and continue to engage with them between episodes of care.
Guest speaker Sara Vaezy is Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy and Digital Officer for Providence where she is responsible for system strategy and digital innovation for the health system including 52 hospitals and 1,085 clinics and serves over 5 million unique patients.
This presentation will occur during the UR Department of Medicine's Town Hall meeting.
