New York State’s Dignity for All Students Act (Dignity Act) seeks to provide NYS public elementary and secondary school students with a safe, supportive environment free from discrimination, intimidation, taunting, harassment, and bullying on school property, a school bus and/or at a school function.

The 6-hour certification training consists of two parts: Part 1 is a 3-hour online training with accompanying assessment, which must be completed within 4 weeks of log-in information being emailed or at least five (5) business days prior to admission to the in-person training (whichever is sooner) to attend Part 2. Part 2 is a 3-hour in-person training.

The Warner School offers this workshop, administered by Genesee Valley BOCES, twice each academic year-one time in the fall semester and a second time during the spring semester. The Warner School covers the registration fee for students matriculated in a program that leads to NYS certification. Log in information for the online session will be emailed within two (2) business days of receiving registration. Online training must be completed no later than March 20, 2020 to be eligible for the Spring 2020 DASA workshop. Registration is required.

This workshop is open only to current students and alumni of the Warner School.

Registration is limited to 50 participants per session and sessions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Late arrivals will not be admitted. Laptops and cell phone usage are not allowed.

Registration information for the Spring 2020 DASA workshop will be emailed in early January.

Upon completion of the workshop, BOCES will upload certificates of completion for students with a TEACH account.
