This presentation will highlight Disability as Difference/Reducing Researcher Roadblocks' (D2/R3) alignment with translational science principles, i.e., generalizable solutions (disability as a disease-universal barrier) and prioritization of unmet needs (NIH designated people with disabilities a health disparities population in 2023). Karen Bonuck, PhD, will present the project's mixed-methods findings, including video clips from its eLearning module, currently in a clinical trial. She will also describe a collaborative grant proposal with URochester Medicine that builds on D2/R3's researcher-focused approach to address barriers across the broader research ecosystem.
