Visiting faculty, Dr. Fernando Ontiveros, from St. John Fisher University.

"A personal story that blends cultural differences with the kinds of trajectory that a student may follow in their quest to pursue a career in science. From a small town to a large metropolis, from studying abroad to meeting Nobel Prize Winners, to combining lab work with raising a family. The hope is that this story sheds some light on potential paths available to students interested in science and also to provide a grateful and optimistic view of life in academia."

Hosted by the Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) and cohosted by myHub and the Office of Equity and Inclusion.
