The University of Rochester School of Nursing is excited to host its annual DNP Summit Series this October 2021. In its sixth year, the 2021 DNP Summit will explore recommendations from the Future of Nursing 2020-2030: Charting a Path to Health Equity consensus study report, published in May 2021 by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.

Join local, regional, and national advanced practice leaders, policymakers, and scholars as they explore ways nurses and institutions can support the challenging work of overcoming health disparities and achieving health equity in the U.S. 

Three distinguished speakers will address the impact of DNP education in three, one-hour virtual webinar sessions starting at 1 pm EST on Oct. 15., and continuing Oct. 22 and Oct. 29. 

  • Angelica Millan, DNP, RN, FAAN, member of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine Committee on the Future of Nursing 2020-2030 consensus study report, presenting, "Advancing Equity Through Nursing and the DNP Role," on Oct. 15 at 1 p.m. EST.
  •  Alice M. Teall, DNP, APRN-CNP, FAANP, assistant professor of clinical nursing and Rosie Zeno, DNP, APRN-CNP, assistant professor of clinical nursing at Ohio State University, presenting, “Building Resilience through Challenges: DNP-led Integration of Wellness into Culture, Community, Classroom, and Clinical Experiences, on Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. EST.
  •  Rosemary Ventura, DNP, RN-BC, chief nursing information officer at the University of Rochester Medical Center presenting, "Leveraging Technology and DNP Education to Achieve Health Equity," on Oct. 29 at 1 p.m. EST.
