 \nThe Eastman Jazz Lab Band is a full 17-piece jazz ensemble\, consisting 
 of both undergraduate and grad. students. The ensemble performs a full ran
 ge of big band repertoire including Duke Ellington\, Count Basie\, Woody H
 erman\, Thad Jones-Mel Lewis\, Bill Holman\, and more. The band also perfo
 rms arrangements by known Eastman Jazz alumni and current Eastman Jazz stu
 dent arrangers. The Ensemble is directed by Associate Professor Rich Thomp
 son and assisted by a graduate JCM student. Over the last 12 years\, the B
 and\, led by Thompson\, has consistently brought in talented and varied gu
