Rochester is home to one of the largest and most dynamic Deaf communities in the country. This fall MAG will host De’VIA: The Manifesto Comes of Age (November 7, 2019–February 16, 2020), an exhibition that highlights a genre of art that examines many dimensions of Deaf culture and Deaf experiences and was formally recognized in 1989. View the De’VIA exhibition with over 30 works of art drawn largely from the collection of the Dyer Arts Center, of RIT’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf.
The program will be led in ASL and interpreted in Spoken English.
