About this Event
Featuring: Michael A. Scharf, MD, Chief, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry & Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics
Anxiety, fear, and depression have been increasing steadily among our youth. In 2019, mental health problems were already a top five disability affecting our nation’s children. Civil unrest and the impact of COVID-19 on health, employment, and education, have made it an even more challenging world for our youth to navigate. Join Dr. Michael Scharf, chief of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center, as he discusses the mental health struggles that our children, adolescents, and young adults face, and how to help them cope, build resilience, and thrive.
