This workshop will explain the importance of joining professional organizations and attending conferences. We will suggest ways to optimize your membership and attendant and give advice on how to fund these professional development expenditures. The Warner School's Office for Student Success, in partnership with the Higher Education program, offers this new professional development workshop series focused on engaging students in exploring how they are, what they may become and how to get there by employing a variety of strategies. Through this series of workshops, participants will develop the skills necessary to create compelling professional portfolios and effectively introduce themselves to industry professionals.
