About this Event
The first LSR-II arrived at the University of Rochester Medical Center on a warm August afternoon and soon became the backbone of flow cytometry research. Remarkably, after 20 years of dedicated service, it is time for us to bid adieu to these workhorses of cytometry, to make room for the next generation of flow cytometry instrument. Before they, along with their muppet personifications, go into a well-earned retirement, we felt it only right to have a celebration of the transformative power that these tools brought to research.
Please join us for a Flow Cytometry Symposium to hear from researchers whose work was positively impacted by these great machines.
Speakers include:
Jennifer Anolik, M.D., Ph.D. Professor and Interim Chief, Allergy/Immunology and Rheumatology; Associate Chair of Research, Department of Medicine.
Benjamin J. Frisch, Ph.D. Assistant Professor. Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Biomedical Engineering
Christina Post, Ph.D. Postdoctoral Associate, Laboratory of Dr. B. Paige Lawrence, Department of Environmental Medicine. Most LSR-II hours logged 2013-2023
David Topham, Ph.D. Professor, Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Center for Vaccine Biology and Immunology and Director, Translational Immunology and Infectious Diseases Institute
