The UR welcomes NASA Hall of Fame Astronaut Frederick D. Gregory to campus on March 1 for a 5:00 p.m. presentation, "Future Space Adventures: Significant Advancements since the Shuttle Era and Possible Roads Forward." 

Frederick Drew Gregory is a former United States Air Force pilot, military engineer, test pilot, and NASA astronaut. He will share his experiences of logging more than 450 hours in space as pilot on the Orbiter Challenger and spacecraft commander on Discovery and Atlantis.

Col. Gregory's presentation is part of a visit to the University in recognition of undergraduate and current Astronaut Scholar Loren Cardani '23. With support from a fund established by the original Mercury 7 astronauts, the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation offers competitive scholarships to outstanding undergraduate STEM majors who show initiative, creativity, and excellence in their chosen fields.
