Produced in partnership with the American Composers Orchestra, this daytime session of the EarShot CoLABoratory Residency advances the work of composers whose music is rooted in musical traditions underrepresented in the orchestral repertoire. The CoLABoratory provides a generative environment for composers from any and all musical backgrounds to develop definition-expanding works for orchestra.

Rather than a traditional call for scores, this is a call for ideas, allowing artists to develop their compositions through an artist-led process. This residency will feature the Gateways String Faculty and the Gateways Brass Collective joining forces to support the creative work of composer Jordyn Davis. Together, they will explore new sonic possibilities and contribute to the shaping of a new orchestral composition.
