 ion in Dementia is a common behavioral disturbance featuring exaggerated m
 otor activity\, sometimes with verbal and/or physical aggressiveness that 
 occurs frequently in patients with cognitive decline\; incidence is higher
  in moderate to severe dementia.\n\nPrevalence ranges from 30% to 50% in A
 D\, 30% in dementia with Lewy bodies\, 40% in frontotemporal dementia\, an
 d 40% in vascular dementia. It adversely impacts cognitive performance\, f
 unctional status\, and patients’ quality of life. It also enhances careg
 iver distress and is associated with a higher admission rate to assisted l
 iving facilities\, higher use of medications\, long-term hospitalization\,
  and higher mortality.  Accurate diagnosis and treatment is imperative.  W
 e will explore the most recent advances in this space.
