A Place at the Table for Underserved Older Adult Populations: New York State’s Third Elder Abuse Summit

Lifespan of Greater Rochester, in partnership with the Office of Victim Services, conducted the 3^rd NYS Elder Abuse Summit in 2021. Despite the ongoing pandemic, this unique multifaceted Summit brought together hundreds of professionals and older New Yorkers to discuss how to progress NYS’s Elder Abuse Prevention agenda forward to become more inclusive and equitable for Underserved Populations of elder abuse survivors. This session will discuss the process of the summit and relay the steps going forward that will keep NYS at the forefront of elder justice across the country.
