The University of Rochester Institute for Human Health and the Environment invites you to join its Housing, Health and Environmental Justice Research Workshop to learn how home-based environmental exposures affect health equity. This workshop will:

  • Build researchers’ and community partners’ understanding of the connections between housing environments and health.
  • Identify unique opportunities for healthy homes research in the Rochester region.
  • Foster new projects to inform solutions.

Amanda Reddy, Executive Director of the National Center for Healthy Housing, will give the keynote address and Melissa Berrien, Director of Resident Services for Rochester Housing Authority, will provide a local overview.

A National Healthy Housing Research Panel will feature Michelle Del Rio, PhD, Assistant Professor in the School of Public Health at Indiana University, Bloomington; Kevin Kennedy, MPH, CIEC, Environmental Health Scientist at Healthy Indoors Consulting; and Robin Dodson, ScD, Associate Director of Research Operations at Silent Spring Institute.
