About this Event
755 Library Road, Rochester, NY 14627
Conversation between author (Mical Raz), Larry Marx (Children’s Agenda), Ashley Cross (Hope585), Naishah Ebanks (lived experience expert).
Families in the United States experience child abuse investigations, the removal of children from their homes, and the termination of parental rights at higher rates than peer countries. Yet this does not make them safer and comes at a cost. Why do Americans accept a system that has made parenting precarious, and what does it mean for struggling families to live under the constant threat of separation? A conversation between the author, two community advocates and leaders, and a lived experience expert who work to improve the lives of Rochester children and families.
