About this Event
Talking to people is a very helpful strategy in finding experiences and employment. In this interactive workshop participants will learn strategies for informational interviews and networking. Content will focus on tips and tricks for facilitating informational interviews, and how to maintain a professional network. If applicable, participants should bring sample positions of interest to work through setting up informational interviews or to practice networking strategies during the session. This event is a collaboration between the Greene Center and myHub.
• Learn about the purpose of informational interviews and the benefits of utilizing them to explore and learn about careers and employers.
• Explore ways to research potential contacts to interview and how to arrange an informational interview.
• Develop informational interview questions that can help you learn about an individual’s educational or career experience.
• Gain knowledge about additional skills that can be strengthened from completing an informational interview.
