This introductory workshop provides an overview of qualitative methodology and data interpretation. Participants will explore core practices for gathering non-numerical data (such as semi-structured interviews and focus groups) and practical techniques for thematic analysis and coding.

This workshop is part of the Qualitative Data Workshop Series hosted by Data Services alongside the Northeast Carpentries, which includes instructors from the University of Rochester, Columbia, Harvard, and the University at Buffalo. These workshops occur on Wednesday afternoons in October and cover topics such as an Introduction to Qualitative Data, Taguette, and QualCoder. Feel free to attend only one workshop or all three. Please register to receive the Zoom link.
