Free Event

As we continue our work at the Susan B. Anthony Institute to promote a safe, equitable, and inclusive environment, we recognize that mental health is a vital part of that mission. We are reaching out to invite you to join us in a meaningful community event: the AFSP Out of the Darkness Walk in Rochester.

The "Out of the Darkness" walks are the flagship fundraising and awareness events for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). They provide a powerful space for people to acknowledge the ways suicide and mental health struggles have touched our lives, while working together to fund research, education, and advocacy.

How you can participate:
Walk with us: You can register as an individual or join the SBAI team. Registration is free.

Support the Cause: If you cannot attend, you can still support the initiative by making a donation to the Rochester Walk through our team page.
Spread the word: Share this invitation with colleagues, students, and friends within the University of Rochester Community

SBAI will make a donation to the walk for each person who participates. By walking together, we can show that hope is a community effort and that no one in our SBAI family has to walk alone. We hope to see you there.
