Kafka Prize Ceremony and Reading

Elizabeth Poliner, author of the novel As Close To Us as Breathing (2016), is the winner of this year's Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize for fiction by an American woman writer.

Attend a reading from her novel, a Q&A session, and a book signing. 

Elizabeth Poliner is the author of Mutual Life & Casualty, a novel-in-stories; What You Know in Your Hands, a poetry collection; and Sudden Fog, a poetry chapbook. Her short fiction and poetry have appeared widely in literary journals including the Kenyon ReviewThe Southern ReviewMichigan Quarterly Review, and Colorado Review.
