Keeping the Research Going: Insights into Interim and Internal Funding Support at UR

Presented by  Dirk Bohmann, PhD Senior Associate Dean for Basic Research

Donald M. Foster, MD Professor of Biomedical Genetics

Networking with JFBRA members to follow from 5-6 pm

Intramural research awards and bridge funding are intended to increase the success of proposals for external funding via support of preliminary data and work that contributes to the strength and competitiveness of submitted proposals. In addition, there are activities for which external support is limited and some intramural awards are aimed at such proposals from faculty in those fields.

As Senior Associate Dean for Basic Research, Dr. Bohmann will present his perspective on issues related to bridge funding for research faculty (and other intramural support mechanisms).
